Chamomile Tea

Brew a cup of Chamomile tea mixed with honey, to serve as a relaxant and anti-inflammatory compound. Chamomile has been a home remedy that families have used for years. Chamomile contains chemical ingredients that have many benefits, one which soothes symptoms of tonsillitis. It helps the body to release inflammatory prostaglandin molecules that the body uses to produce while blood cells to fight inflammation.

Pour eight ounces of hot water into a cup

Add two teaspoons of honey

Stir in one teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice

Salt and Water

Gargling with warm water and iodized salt, several times a day, is a beneficial remedy for an inflamed tonsil, which has been used throughout history. Salt neutralizes the acids in the throat that cause burning sensations and irritation to the tonsils.
